I don’t get it. Most garage mechanics do it themselves and have the alignment done by a shop. I use to, then I got the alignment tools and save $ 😂

Well you start out with both sides all the way in. Then you put a wrench on the center and turn the bar. Then tighten down the lock nuts.

My alignment tech loves my car, i always use a micrometer and make sure to adjust each side evenly, he even lets me hang out in the bay with him 😁

I used to work on semis, and we had a guy that done an alignment by disconnect the end of the tie rod and turning it in or out 😂🤦🏻♂️
