You are very close. Geyer wrap horns are VERY popular amongst pro Horn players right now….in the US. Outside of the US tastes regarding Horn selection

It is much more common to see Kruspe wrap horns in public schools. Conn 6D and 8D are the most famous models with the Elkhart era 8D copying Ed Kruspe
