@loren_legarda: Attaining sustainable food security should be a top priority of our government to address the issues of poverty, hunger, and malnutrition.Senate Bill No. 239, a measure that we filed in the Senate, aims to introduce low-maintenance food production through agroforestry and maximized land use; to provide a source of income for urban and rural communities; and to help farmers build productive farming communities and produce high-quality crops.Mahigit siyam na milyong tonelada ng pagkain ang itinatapon at nasasayang taon-taon, samantalang nasa tatlong milyong Pilipino naman ang nakararanas ng lubhang pagkagutom.Para solusyunan ito, isinusulong natin sa Senado ang Senate Bill 240 o ang Zero Food Waste Act of 2022 na naglalayong bumuo ng isang epektibong sistema upang wala nang pagkain ang masasayang, maiibsan ang pagkagutom ng iba nating kababayan, at magkakaroon ng seguridad sa pagkain ang bansa.#agriculture #foodsecurity #agrarianreform #senateph #LorenLegarda
