i consider a bite sport dog a working dog because schutzhund competitions are called WDC which means working dog competitions.

Yes!! There are ‘working breeds’, and ‘working lines’, but having a dog from one of those breeds/lines doesn’t automatically make them a working dog.

yeah, even if my poodle gets hunting titles, she isn't a working dog for hunting unless I actually use her for hunting outside of the trial environmen

If a dog won't do sports they don't have a job and are pet homed. To me any sport dog is a working dog.

If they're sport only, I don't classify it working. SDs, search and rescue, LSGDs, hearding, PPDs and hunting dogs are all working.

Yess to me a working GSD is one that does SAR or is a police K9. IGP and PSA dogs are sport dogs, not working dogs.

I see it as working breeds // working dogs - working breeds need a more intense routine, working dogs need jobs (like police dogs working full days)
