wire method works but isn't recommended because it can spread the contacts in fuse panel and if it needs replacement some are thousands of dollars

I have been doing the wire method as my fusebox has a cover that doesn't allow a add a fuse. It works well imo.

adding a wire to a fuse leg is about as bad as pushing a tack through the wire and connecting to that .joint can get hot and cause endless problems

the wire method works BUT you must wrap the wire on the dead side of the circuit so the fuse can still function.

Never ever use this kind of piggy back connectors. They cut into the wire and a the cause of lot of problems.

please don't ever take this person's advise....never wrap a wire around a fuse...ever. you can get inexpensive fise taps that fit on the fuse prong...

Spend the couple dollars and get an add a fuse do it right, if you put extra electrical load on a sensitive circuit you can throw off resistance value

That's such a hack job to wrap a wire around a fuse leg. You expect someone to do on a $500 beater, not a car they deem worth putting a dash cam into.

not a good idea. Find a good body ground for the Gnd wire, then take +12v from the fused side of something that's switched on by the ignition switch
