we frame 100% on slab on grade, and no I wouldn't do this... if the slab is that far out then I'd call the concrete guy back out to grind his mistakes

duh use a caulk line as a string. run the stud on the string. no messuring

We do something similar. Just we use a chalk line and mark the stud with the chalk line. And then cut to the line!

Using 3 nails to attach the stud to the seal plate is a BIG NO NO. 1 nail per every 2 inches of wood. Use more and chance splitting the wood.

Just stick frame it with no top plate i put it on the side of studs wherever comfortable to keep em level/straight chalk a line and cut it on the spot
