Absolutely no maternity leave in the US. My friends used up their holiday leave as their maternity leave. The US needs to work on this aspect for sure

In Austria we get 8 weeks before due date and up to 2,5 years after birth! In my case, 50% paid cause I'm taking the full 2,5 years.

I’m from America and they did exactly this for me. I had an emergency c section and They asked me why I needed 6 weeks.

Man I wish US got nice maternity leave. I work at a hospital and we would only get one paid week off after than it’s voluntary 😅

It’s 6 weeks here (longer if approved by doctor but no pay) i had to have my son 5 weeks early, he was in the NICU for a week & then i literally (1/2)
