@natural_born_parenting: Sometimes the most basic things we do everyday offers opportunities to create growth & do good for our babies 👶🏼 ❤️ Here’s our 3 good habits for vestibular input, neck strengthening & good hip health when changing diapers 🤩👍🏻 1)Putting baby down on the side before rolling gently to back - the sidehold then triggers muscle activity on the side of the neck facing upwards + the roll offers vestibular input 💪🏻 🧠 Vary sides!! 2)Push legs into frog-leg position when lifting buttocks - this is a really good habit for baby’s hips 🥰 The lift or pull on legs can sometimes be a bit straining on the hips - especially for the newborns 👶🏼 3)The most gentle way to change the newborn’s diaper is to roll over on the side - this is comfortable & puts no strain on pelvis or hips 👍🏻 In addition; it allows for sidelying which is a great position for infants to be in 👼 Do not worry if you have been pulling - NO HARM DONE, but there are better ways that also improves hip function or neck strength 👍🏻 Was this helpful?
