In 2007, I needed to change my NYSC Place of Primary Assignment.  My parents were not in support so I was alone trying to figure my way out of the mess I seemed to have dragged myself into.  I had to keep going to my previous place of primary assignment for over 3 months and  I wasn't getting paid by my new place of primary assignment because my documentation was incomplete. One of the days I went to my former PPA, I noticed this dark, handsome, young man. Apart from the fact that he looked slightly familiar, he had bulgy attractive eyes. Immediately I noticed him, I knew he was coming to talk to me and he did. He worked at the head office of the organization in Lagos and had come in to Abuja to train some new employees. I narrated my ordeal to him. While we talked, we found out that we both attended the same university, had a couple of mutual friends, but somehow our paths never crossed in school. He left the very year I came in, which explained why we didn't get to meet. We chatted like long lost friends and somewhere, in my heart, I knew this meeting was no coincidence, but was divinely orchestrated. We rounded up our talk that evening and he asked if he could see me the next day before he returned to Lagos. The next day was a Friday which was free for me after my Community Development project meeting. On Friday, we talked and I followed him to the airport to get his ticket. While we spoke through the ride, I knew that this young man was going to ask me to marry him and I was going to say yes. The next day when he was supposed to leave town, he called to say he missed his flight. It was a good opportunity to invite him to our house and we later went out. That day, we talked about marriage and he shared his values with me. That night – two days after we met, he asked me to be his wife. For me that was the God ordained moment. I said yes instantly and that was the beginning of our relationship. We took our vows April 2008, 15 years and 4 beautiful children after, this has to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.
