Mamas you ARE your child's biggest advocates. Sure, doctors go to school for 8 years, but we live with our babies their whole life. We KNOW when something's wrong. I took Bentley to SO many who were wrong. They said him not wanting to go to school or go swim or go outside was him being a teenager. He couldn't handle the sun, he wanted his room pitch black, he was pale as a ghost. I took him to just about every specialist in the area we lived in, with no help. He lost some of his vision (he can still see but he will need glasses forever and it's not anywhere as good as it was before) because he was let go for so long, as well as neuropathy in his arms and legs, which caused circulation issues and might be permanent. He went from running track and dancing to barely able to stand because he's so wobbly and falling constantly so he has to use mobility aids and i pulled him out of school. We then found out his vitamin A was less than 2.5. Lowest they had ever seen . his b12 was 150 points low, b1 b6 was low, and his vitamin d was low. He had developed iron deficiency anemia. All of this that could have been found via blood but the drs refused to do it. By the time we caught it some of the damage was permanent and it took a TON of vitamins to fix. Even tho he has taken daily multi vitamins since he could chew. It was pancreatic insufficiency. But no one listened. Now we have an amazing team of 8 doctors that work together for Bentleys own good and he has come SO far since we moved here in March. He couldn't even smile bc his lips were so painful and his skin was so dry it burned/his eyes were like sandpaper and his cornea had abrahsions. Now his skin/eyes/lips are perfectly hydrated and his vitamin levels are perfect, but the neuropathy damage in his eyes / feet/ hands/legs is permanent we believe. All bc of NEGLIGENT drs. #autism #vitamindeficiency #pancreaticinsufficiency #trustyourguts #medicalnegligence #trustyourmomgut #momsinstinct #chronicillness #neuropathy #fightforyourkids #misdiagnosed #b12deficiency
