For me the doctor told my parents to do it anytime I started to have a breakdown. Now my parents understand I was overstimulated from being yelled at etc etc. cold 🚿 didnt help me theywere traumatic

When I was about four or five, one of my parents threw me in a cold shower when I was throwing a fit over ice cream, I thrashed around so much I slipped and fell and hit my chin on the bottom of the tub. I was never taken to the doctor and I still have the scar today.
