don't think you should use caulking around toilet either. you won't see if your leaking from seal.

Nope never use those, wax rings have been used for almost 80 years now and if properly installed you wont have sewer gases get past the wax seal

There is a better wax less toilet gasket. I didn’t like that one. After a few years we found the foam broke down.

Usually you can check your hot water tank there’s a rod on the inside sometimes it needs changed God bless stay safe

Hair clog/slow drain in other shower caused water to be sucked from tub drain trap. sewer smell from tub. solved when shower drain got cleared.

Don't chalk around your toilet. You want to know if you have a leak rather than have it just go into your flooring.

you should use 3M hi-bond tape on the bottom of the bowl instead of using silicone like you did here. completely waterproof and stronger than cone
