For a long time, I believed that if I could just find the answer to “Why is this happening to me?” I’d finally be able to move forward. But some questions don’t have the answers we’re hoping for. Living with a muscle wasting condition, psoriasis and endometriosis has changed so many parts of my life. There are still days I grieve. There are still days that feel heavy. But somewhere along the way, I realised I was asking myself the wrong question. Instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?” I started asking, “How can I make this life beautiful?” That question changed everything. It reminded me that while I can’t always choose what my body does… I can choose to notice the beauty that’s still here. The people who make life feel lighter. The moments that make my soul come alive. The quiet miracles that fill my gratitude journal. The memories that remind me I’m still living a meaningful life. My body became unpredictable. But that doesn’t mean my life stopped being beautiful. Maybe today isn’t about finding all the answers. Maybe it’s about finding one beautiful moment to hold onto.
