Never. Ever. Use one finger lock. One of the first things we thought people at dog school. They pull immidealty. You aren't prepared often.

Good for small dogs. Try way bigger dogs. I can lose an arm when the dog runs after a squirrel or other stuff. Lol

I always hold the handle in one hand and part way down the slack in the other. I just find it gives me better control, particularly around roads

Pretty close to how we hold reins on horses, though our first lock is pinkie-ring finger and second is thumb. If it works for horses it works for dogs

Yea no…I’m a kennel tech who walks 100 lb dogs daily. Most definitely would not use this technique.

I have such a hard time handling them with my left, and rewarding with my right. I’m right handed and my brain just won’t! It messes her up so bad🙄
