I travelled on an a320-214 , I heard the ptu before take off as normal but then again for about 15 minutes straight 2/3rds through the flight

Thanks Stig, our 757 was making this noise on the ground and the captain came on saying they were having problems with the ptu.

There was some debate about the PTU in Spain cause a 320 took off while the PTU was working, and even after continued to make that noise.
