but be careful. if you refer a stranger & they get hired and turn out horrible, it's your reputation. Not worth the hiring bonus, in my eyes.

Very true for top tech companies! My husbands company gets so many applications that a referral is the only way to ensure your resume gets looked at.

There is one issue with this approach - if the person you’re referring turns out to be a bad person etc, your reputation takes a hit.

In some companies I worked for, they asked what do I know about my referral. I'm a little hesitant to refer a stranger because of this. 👇
