Mine do this when they are starting to rot. It's sooo easy to over water alocasias...just killed both of my quilted dreams like this😭

Also want to mention they are next to a humidifier that runs 10 hours a day and they are in a chunky soil/perlite/ orchid bark mix

Check for a root plug, fabric rooting them from inside the soil…i guarantee this is why

Moisture meters are not fully accurate. Alocasias don’t like being overwatered and it could be that the meter is asking you to water more.
