Yes! But now most plus size retailers carry those “mid” sizes and so do straight sizes so the term needs to go.

Yes! I was in that “too fat for straight size stores but not fat enough for plus size stores” category in the 90s and early 2000s.

I’m older so I even remember a time before the term plus size existed. It was called half sizes. All this fuss over language. It changes.

I was a 16 around 2006/2007 and it was tricky to find. But as a 16/18 in 2018 I could find clothes in most regular and plus stores.

As someone who has fluctuated through plus and mid sizes, often that 14 fits more like a 10 leaving ppl feeling stranded
