Wow! Looks like it froze all the way through. Is that a tub/shower drain? Never saw 2" cast iron here in WNY. Only 3 and 4"🤔

I replaced a cast iron drain that ran across the basement ceiling about 15 feet. It was so rotted that it was just the bottom half!

2 inch is famous for that anything under 3 usually cracks like that best thing is to get rid of it all

Thank god we don’t do lead and oakum joints anymore. It was part of my journeyman’s test back in late 90’s and the last year on the state test.
