@theloveforgardening: Harvest my Pepino melons. This is my 2nd season, and it did so well. I grew them in a 30-gallon container; this plant got damaged by frost a few times last winter, so I cut the damaged branches off, and now they are growing beautifully. It has a flavor similar to cantaloupe mixed with cucumber but not as sweet as cantaloupe, and a texture that is as crisp as a pear when it is not ripening and very juicy, soft, and delicious when it is ripe. One of my favorite fruits to eat, especially on hot sunny days. So refreshing! ✅Pepino fruit may be recommended to diabetic patients as a beneficial fruit with its low sugar content, high dietary fibers, and high antioxidant properties.
