Diagnosed July. Started on 10mg per day for a few weeks, then reduced to 2,5mg per day for a few weeks. Raised back up to 10mg per day (36 tablets). Reduced to nothing and told to take pain killers, with no time frame. Things have gotten much worse. So much pain and can barely move. At this point, I don’t know what to do, especially with other medical conditions affecting mobility, another autoimmune disease and a suspected bacterial infection that my GP is ignoring. It sucks.

What if you are allergic to prednisone. I am getting close to this diagnosis I’m 48 it’s awful. I found out yesterday I’m allergic and the pain is unbearable ?

It is so painful. I went through the 3 weeks of prednisone (decreasing 5 mg each week). After two days - I felt great! Decreased dose - back again

I’m 48, 4 years post‑op ACDF C4‑C6 (failed fusion) and 4 months post‑op PCDF C4‑T2. Nine weeks ago, I was hospitalized with sepsis, leukocytosis, and high inflammatory markers. All tests were negative, but my PET scan showed significant inflammation around my surgical sites. Infectious Disease now suspects Polymyalgia Rheumatica and is referring me to Rheumatology. I have severe body aches neck, shoulders, spine, hips, knees, sometimes ankle and feet, with stiffness, weakness, and fatigue, spending most days in bed, depressed. I’m concerned how PMR and possible steroid treatment will affect my fusion healing. Thank you for your time.

I was diagnosed shortly after doing a watermelon fast. I am 55. Last July. I had a gut health test done and I am having a lot of food issues. Gluten, vanilla, cocoa, watermelon, pineapple, cranberries, almonds, goats milk, catfish, onions, turmeric and more. Mold toxicity bad. I am dairy free, gluten free. 5 years ago I cut out all fast food, processed food, and only eat whole foods. Quit otc and prescription drugs. I use clean everything minus the microwave😔. Here I am on 10mg of steroids and hating and loving it at the same time. The pain was a 11 for me. Why??? Makes 0 sense to me. Oh, my blood work was great minus elevated cortisol.
