No. I could hardly walk. Micro disk surgery quickly changed my life and the feeling is coming back in my foot..it was such a relief.

In my case it’s opposite. Slept with a pillow under the lower back to arch it and my sciatica healed. I cancelled my surgery.

Disagree… Not everyone should however my mom at 66 was about to be paralyzed… she went through and now has a full time physical job !!

Back surgery (fusion) was the best thing I could have done! these days they don't do surgery for pain. they actually do it for function!

Amen! I wish I knew this 23 years ago but doctors and pain clinics don’t tell you this. I only learned this 2 years ago after 23 years of chronic pain

Surgery is the answer for some, for sure. My mother could not walk, she dragged herself in a crawl. 47 years after laminectomy she is still fine.

After at least 1 Yr with excruciating pain I got back surgery 40 yrs ago and never looked back. Things can be different now.
