VFX video script Magic Reveal Effect – Easy & Free! (CapCut Tutorial) Magic reveal effect—quick, clean, and easy with your phone and a free app! There are multiple ways to create this effect, but I’m going to show you the cleanest (and super easy) way to do this effect, using just your phone and a free app! 1.	Film Your Clip – Walk past the camera, making sure you cover the frame height as you pass. 2.	Import into CapCut – Open CapCut and bring in your footage. 3.	Trim Your Video – Cut off any unnecessary footage from the start and end. 4.	Split the Clip – Find the moment just as you walk off-screen and split the video. Then, find where you want your talking clip to start and split again. Delete the left clip. 5.	Create an Overlay – Select the clip of you walking past the camera, tap Overlay, then Duplicate it and move the duplicate to the third layer. 6.	Remove the Background – Select the duplicated clip, tap Remove Background, and choose either Auto Removal or manually remove it. 7.	Apply a Mask – Select the middle clip, tap Mask, and choose Horizontal. Move the mask to the side you’re entering from and add a keyframe. 8.	Animate the Mask – As you walk across the frame, move the mask along with you, keeping it centred on your body. Apply a soft feather, then remove the feather on the last keyframe. 9.	Optional: Add Text – Style your text however you like and position it for a seamless reveal. If you’ve added text, go to Layers and drag it to the right side. And that’s it! Your final video should look something like this.
