Bc onions need air flow or they go bad quicker. It’s better to place them in a wire basket, spread out, in a cool place.

The holes in the onion jar to keep air flow for the onions. If you have it sealed, it suffocates it and it can’t ripen a bit. Only non cut/ peeled!!!!
