Firstly, it’s not normal for your drains to be blocked regularly and there’s a larger issue there you need to look at. If your drains are regularly “needing” this it’s because you’re not actually unblocking your drain. If you’re using this because you think it’ll break down any grease / oil in the drain - it won’t. There’s no surfactants in this formula, you’re just creating salty water when you mix these 2. You’re better off putting hot water and detergent down the drain to get oil moving. I’d you’re using this technique and relying on the pressure of the chemical reaction moving out the blockage? You’re half way there. But that would happen only if you were able to close the drain, allowing this to exist inside a closed space so the pressure can build. But you can’t do that with your drain and so you’re getting this half assed reaction that means what’s most likely happening is part of the bicarb is sitting in the drain - causing even more of a blockage. So if you’re drain is blocked? And it’s not easy for you to unscrew the pipes to clean them out yourself?
