I personally let my new puppy sleep with me and just set an alarm for every 1-2 hours to go potty or whatever. I am a light sleeper so it is easy.

At night I put my puppy in a tote with a potty pad in a little bed and I put it next to my bed and she slept fine.

I put my fur baby in a crate the first night I brought him home, covered it but put it inside my room by my bed. He was such a good puppy.

I put a small crate on my bed..anytime puppy cries, I put my fingers in the crate & they're fine. 3rd or 4th night, crate goes on the floor by my(1)
