What a trip. I am realizing over and over again that I am not made for cities anymore. Growing up in Berlin, fully immersed into the urban energy, I experienced all I needed to experience being in a big city. Now I am longing for nature, for calmness, for silence, for solitude and for simplicity. The consumerism, the noise, the overall distortion when being in a city exhausts me. I appreciate its beautiful diversity and cultural & social variety, yet I feel drawn to the trees and birds, to the rocks and deers. All of this lets me question my path. Do I want to continue traveling from city to city to play in venues that by far not inspire as much as nature does? I get closer and closer to the answer. I feel immensely blessed to be able to decide whether I want to play live shows or not. I guess a beautiful solution would be to gather somewhere in nature with a bunch of people and spend moments of handpan music under the summer night sky. I’ll keep you posted. And until then you’ll find me traveling from city to city, deeply devoted to the music, to spirit and to my heart.
