if your brushes are clean and you spray your eyeshadows weekly with 70% alcohol, you're all good. all other makeup I use until it's gone.

Eyeshadow and powders you can definitely keep for a while put please don’t do that with mascara. Smell a new mascara and go smell one that’s old and you can just tell it’s not ok
