when I worked in the OR and was on-call during a snow storm, I slept in PACU. whatever works!!

in surgical services we use pacu when stuck at the hospital. I've been stuck a few snowstorms. house sup opened pacu and sleep study for staff too

I worked as a registrar in an emergency room and spent many a snow storm sleeping on cots in our departments or in unused patient rooms.

I had my dogs in the car in the parking lot once. Thought about sneaking them in to the gym. I slept on gurney & couches.

Slept on hospice floor on air mattress one year, medical trauma office floor another year, icu empty room too

Sounds like hotels. Except we have the luxury of being able to set aside rooms for staff (yes, management comps us the rooms).

12/2009-2/2010 we had massive snowfalls and had to sleep at work. We slept head to toe in the PT gym. Not the best but not the worst

In my hospitals, HR is the manpower pool for emergencies. We check people in, make sure they get paid, feed them, assign them places to sleep & shower

During my last ride-out we had some cots, but a lot of sleeping bags on the floor. In the hallways of clinic areas.

We do this during snow storms every year in the north. Sometimes we will use stretchers in same day surgery to sleep
