I did it to mine and gave her a treat for being a good girl after trimming. She would understand when I would bring out the nail trimmers.

Try Zen Clippers! They make it virtually impossible to cut too far, you can get all the nails done SO fast

I used treats to get my cats accustomed to nail trimming and now all 6 of them are so well behaved and let me finish them off before offering treats.

Rec new kitten owners get their cat used to be touched head to tail incl massaging feet. It makes nail trims easier as it becomes a normal thing!
