@houseplusplant: Yellowing leaves this time of year is NORMAL! ⬇️ The last thing I want you to do is make rash decisions like repotting or watering more frequently to try to stop the yellowing from happening. Unless you add a grow lights to compensate for the lower light levels of fall/winter you WILL see yellow leaves. This is OK and should stop within a month or so after the plant gets used to less light. During this time DO NOT: •Repot - this will cause added stress •Water more frequently - plants will use LESS water with lower light levels so you’ll inevitably be needing to watering less, not more •Stop fertilizing - if your plant is growing, it still needs nutrients! I fertilize my plants all winter because they continue to grow. If you aren’t seeing new growth you can hold off until spring to start again. Here’s what you CAN do: •Remove yellow leaves •Take time to clean leaves with Leaf Wellness (dm ‘shine’ for the link + discount code) so your plants can perform photosynthesis efficiently without dust/debris getting in the way •Enjoy more time between watering! During the summer it can be a max dash to make sure they’re all hydrated, during fall/winter we get to relax a little 🫶🏻 Now, of course there could be underlying causes of yellowing leaves. But if your otherwise healthy plant started getting them over the past few weeks I’d say this is why! #PlantTok #planttiktok #plants
