@squatuniversity: How to Squat For Your Anatomy. Toes forward or turned out. One reason for one or the other comes from hip anatomy. If someone has hip retroversion they may squat best toes out (this person will have excessive external rotation AND limited internal rotation in BOTH a seated and prone positions. If someone has hip anteversion they may squat best toes forward (this perosn will gave excessive internal rotation AND limited external rotation in BOTH seated and prone positons). If you dont fit either pattern, squatting with toes only SLIGHTLY turned out (relatively forward) will likely be best. #squat #gym #powerlifting #bodybuilding #legday #Fitness

Can this be worked on? Or should you just go with what feels better naturally?? I’m a wide stance squatter! 👋🏼

Is it possible for each hip to differ? Like one has excessive external and the other excessive internal? If so what does that do for squat stance

Tyrell :
I have no internal hip rotation, but excessive external hip rotation. Is that okay or is it something I should work on?
