my dog has recently started to do this , he is 11 and I took him to the vet today and pacing for hours is a sign they are in pain is what we were told.

My dog is 13 started doing this early this year. Vet says it’s Dementia. It’s getting progressively worse 😞

my 6 yr old akita does this once every couple of months. Vet has me give 300 mg gabapentin and it's over in about 20 mind. without, she'd pace 4 hours

forgot to mention, mine paces as if looking for an imaginary fly. Neurologist said it's not a tumor and it's a sleep disorder. Occurs only at night, about 2 hrs after going to bed.
