In this video I show several drills in one, let‘s call it ‚Vertical Kicks to Freestyle Swimming‘. Overall you want to have a good posture and line by using your core muscles. Kick constantly and start tilting to the front keeping your posture and line and balance it out slowely but surely in water to be able to transitioning into swimming freestyle.  The vertical kicks keeping your head above the surface at the beginning are a good drill to improve your leg work in general. If you kick incorrectly you will feel it rather quickly as either it does not feel natural in water or you start to sink. This can be advanced and you can try to kick vertically and bring your arms above your head without sinking etc. Another thing in this drill which helps is to keep your posture, line and balance. You want to keep your core muscles engaged so that you don’t bend your upper body when you tilt, you rather want to tilt in one straight line. Once your feet get to the surface and you lay flat in the water you can start swimming. You can take the tilt part as such as a drill and try to also tilt backwards always keeping that straight body position. Lastly ist the balancing out part and starting to swim freestyle without pushing off the wall. This is another good exercise to training your balance in water and to keep a flat body position. This part of the drill can also be combined with a sprinting exercise where you would lay plat in water away from the wall and start sprinting from 0 to full speed! Hope this helps 🏊‍♂️!
