But you can use what you have in your kitchen! (Try baking soda, milk, or soda) ❓What happens after an hour? ❓What happens after 24 hours? (In the last clip, experimental bears are on the left with untreated gummies next to them.) 🧪The science: ➡️ Gummy bears are made of gelatin, so they don’t dissolve in water like other candies. ➡️ When placed in water, the water will move into the gummy bear through osmosis. The gummy bear acts as a sponge as it soaks up the water! ➡️ When placed in salt water, you may find your gummy bear shrinks.
