my GP still does this, you can only make same day appointments and if you don't call at 8 you're screwed

If you need to see a GP you usually want to see them asap why would anyone want to book on Monday to see GP on Friday

The thing is though I can see their point. If you work, and the appointment is for something routine e.g. Pap smear, you have to phone now on the day
