yeah this! i was taught to use clutch then accelerate, then when i bought my 2011 petrol car i struggled and kept stalling, had to learn again lol

i went through my whole test in a new car, auto hold handbreak too so it was a shock today to test drive a 2012 petrol car WITH a proper handbrake 😳

Was always taught in a diesel and to use the clutch only even for the steepest of hills. Now have my own petrol and I feel like a beginner again lol

Don't press the accelerator, feel the clutch. It should be common knowledge for a driving instructor.

Hello, when carrying full load, is it ok to change gears let say 3,000 rpm instead of two, especially for small engine car under 1.2 litres.

I learned in a newer car and didn't need any revs to set off, now I've passed and got an older car, she needs a couple of revs to help get going

I'm in a diesel and if I use clutch only it stalls instantly, my old petrol car was so much more forgiving

I have a Kia picanto and moving off is a nightmare! My car judders all the time unless I'm revving a lot. Been driving 6 years but never had this problem before

This helps me make sense of some stuff! Transitioning from my instructors newer car to the car my wife has, has been an adjustment for this reason!

Always been taught to use both pedals, balancing them I’m glad coz I learnt in a diesel which is more forgiving but passed and now drive a petrol 😅

As far as i know learning driving with manual transmission is most difficult for beginners balancing the clutch is not an easy task.
