@ktbunton: The way it always blows up at some point 😂 Definitely having one of this “parenting is hard” days 😅 and questioning whether it even matters and I should just let them have it ? What are the main motivators for forcing your little ones to drop the soothers? #twinmom #momadvice #momtok #newmom #twintok #toddlertok #toddlermom #boymom

Clip the bottom of it. Just a small cut. Once the air was out of them, they didn’t want them anymore

It is actually better for their palates and jaws to get rid of them sooner. But I think slow progression is best. Especially for a comfort item.

My motivation was dental issues try starting with just no soothers except when they nap or go down for the night so bedtime only

My philosophy has always been "they're no going to graduate from college with a Binky in their months"!😁

I did this with my first and regretted it big time! I let my 2nd decide when he was ready and it was way better.

I did cold turkey with everything. Sleep training, soothers, potty training.

What is the harm in allowing them to stop when they are ready? My son was 5is. Once he started nursery school though, he only used it at sleep time.

Cut the very tip off and give it to them, they won’t want it

I've heard that after two years is a more ideal time to transition off pacifiers because you can talk to them about it and explain it

I got rid of it because she had really bad dummy teeth, worst week of our life. I would rather give birth again than phase out a soother good luck

Great parenting. Love parents who stick it out rather than give in to “shut them up”! ❤️❤️❤️

Luckily my kids never wanted one, but I would just divert with other activities, or a snack.
