Essential oils are less potent than fragrance. The molecules move super fast and dissipate quickly in the air. Outdoors they don't offer much.

Fresh orange, lemon, or lime peel boiled with cinnamon and fresh ground clove would probably have been more noticeable

We had fresh pine at our wedding and got lil wax melt plug ins and everyone loved that it smelled so fresh at our venue 🤌🏼🤌🏼 thank you for this
