I spent the whole video screaming that the Gospels were composed in Greek!

Have you done a video explaining which texts were written in which languages? I always have trouble remembering and would love to be able to remember

Originally written in Greek yes. But perhaps the creator’s point was Jesus taught it in Aramaic orally and gospel writers translated it to Greek

So just to clarify: was Jesus speaking greek in these cases? Translation stuff is really confusing… I don’t know where to look or whom to trust, tbh.

Do we know the LP was originally in Greek? Or is it just originally recorded in Greek and the written version could have been a translation?

I think it’s a good question whether Jesus spoke Aramaic or Greek. He probably spoke Aramaic. The lords prayer was probably first spoken in Aramaic

How do you know the Lord's prayer wasn't originally spoken in Galilean Aramaic? Are there grammatical things that mean it must have started in Greek?

If the Lord’s Prayer were used by early Christian communities, would they have likely created it in Aramaic & it then translated to Greek for gospel?
