Great idea.. You can also use 3m hooks and place them upside down and the ribbon loop will catch it.

That tape did not hold up last year when I used it. Painter’s tape held much better!

The blue painters tape holds really well and no paint came off my cabinets when I do this 🙂

I used a 3m plastic hook. The backing comes off with no paint chipping.
