control is important, you can always do it again if you've not gotten it all off, but you can't undo going too far.

so cool!! I often dislike how swabs mobilise varnish and push it around - this looks really uniform & probably helps with over cleaning?

Does it alter the effective polarity of solvent mixtures? Would guess more polar would H bond to tissue and leave aliphatic more available to paint.
