Actually one of the reason why I Like Pathfinder 1e, you have to Confirm Nat20 and a Nat1. Then you apply your Critical effect or a critical fumble

As a martial main, I’ve seen critical fumbles be super punishing. Missing can be bad enough when against the wall and lives are in the line.

For a while I had 20s always crit and 1's you have to roll again and if you still miss it's a critical fumble. (confirming crits but only for 1's)
