Mein Sohn musste im Türkei-Urlaub ins Krankenhaus. Da ich den Reiseschutz beim ÖAMTC habe, war das kein Problem und es wurden alle Kosten übernommen

The belief in yourself plus the desire to do something must be there in order for you to have the discipline to achieve success.  This means that whatever you are striving for, must also be realistic.  For example last year, I wanted to get really good at Latin dancing and to learn all 5 dances ( cha cha, rumba, samba pasa doble and jive) and then compete with my professional partner.  And I did and I was successful, and won! I had the BELIEF in myself as a dancer ( I danced ballet for 12 years but not ballroom- very different), and competitor and the DESIRE to work hard to develop the DISCIPLINE to succeed.  However, after competing for 6 months and getting good at it( not great by any means!) I then decided it wasn’t where I wanted to spend my time and energy ( effort) any longer. So no longer would I have the DISCIPlINE to continue.  I wanted to spend my effort elsewhere.  Being realistic about goal setting is crucial in deciding what you want to get good at.  I would never choose to become a long distance runner or a pole vaulter. I’m not genetically built for either, so I know this would be difficult and quite unrealistic to get good at.  But, competing in fitness shows?✔️ cheerleader?✔️ personal trainer/ coaching?✔️ rowing crew?✔️ dancing?✔️ Intuitively, most of know what we could get good at, but sometimes we want and need to push ourselves outside the comfort zone and try something different. That’s good! But be realistic as to HOW good you’re going to get and IF that will be ‘good enough’ for YOU.  Podcasting at 62? Yeah, I’m doing it because I love it and I I have a lot of live experiences to draw on and can speak pretty well on many subjects. I also have the most kick-ass intelligent guests on the pod as well.  Bottom line➡️Don’t discount any goal because you can get good at anything as long as you have belief and desire to get good at it.
