If CC does it on their own, then no hard inquiry, otherwise hard inquiry stays on credir report.

Chase and other banks will do a hard pull and will leave a hard inquiry if u ask for an increase so do your research before asking them🤷♂️

My Amazon Credit Card you can request this through the online “chat” and it’s a soft inquiry. I do this every 6 months & my utilization is 1%

you also need to know if it's a hard pull or soft pull. Chase is a hard pull and I believe Amex is a soft pull.
