Dr. Dre – Still D.R.E. (feat.

Released as the triumphant comeback single from the album 2001, this track is considered by many as the greatest anthem in West Coast Hip-Hop history. Produced by Dr. Dre and Mel-Man, featuring iconic ghostwriting by Jay-Z, the song is centered around a staccato piano melody that became instantly recognizable worldwide. The song's impact was a declaration of sovereignty; after years of silence, Dr. Dre reaffirmed his place as rap's sonic architect, proving that G-Funk had evolved into a cleaner, more percussive, and timeless sound. The unparalleled chemistry with Snoop Dogg recaptured the magic of the Death Row era but with turn-of-the-millennium sophistication. "Still D.R.E." not only dominated the charts, achieving multi-platinum certifications, but also solidified Dre's legacy as an unshakable figure who, despite fame and fortune, still held onto the essence of Compton's streets.
