I struggle a lot with social functions. You may think I’m extroverted (I can turn it on when I have to) but my truest self is introverted. It takes a lot of effort for me to meet people, go out, “network”, and small talk. It drains me. I’m a homebody and I recharge by being alone. I say that because making friends, especially as an adult, is tough for me. Layer that onto having been burnt too many times and having trust issues with people. Anyway, I’m so grateful for YT because it opened up my world to other people similar to me…people who are fine opening up to millions of strangers on the internet but are actually introverted in real life. (I don’t get it either) You see, back in 2013 Bubz who was a big name in the beauty space on YouTube was doing Blogilates videos! She was so kind to introduce me to the Asian YT community and I’m forever grateful for that. I met so many YTers that I had been watching and admiring from a distance. One of those people was @Wendy Nguyen Wendy and I ended up connecting on a much deeper level. We are both Vietnamese, come from immigrant family backgrounds, and value the importance of working hard and picking ourselves back up no matter what. I honestly can’t believe we’ve been friends for nearly 10 years now. I barely even talk to anyone from college (except for Sam)! Anyway, last year I asked Wendy if she wanted to design a collab capsule with me and @popflexactive to bridge the gap between gym wear and high fashion street wear. I’m so happy she said yes because this past year has been so fun getting to work with one of my closest friends. I hope you guys love this collection as much as we enjoyed designing it for you! ♥️Cassey Ps: I am a size small on the size chart and wear a small for bottoms and jackets! For bras, I like em extra tight so they squeeze my boobs together so I go for XS, but that’s my personal preference! Smalls would fit me too. I’m 5’5” and Wendy is 5’0”!
