@idabergfoth: What are the best methods to progress in the gym? 🧱👇🏻👇🏻 This was the topic of todays zoom call for my clients but I would love to share it with you too, since this is one frequently asked question to me as a coach. First of all if you truly want to get a change in your physique or gain strength etc, make sure you are putting in the work that is needed for your next level. But also think about this: 1. Progressive overload is a thing. But to add more weights doesn’t mean you need to go from 0-hero right away. Gradually add, either each set or maybe for each and every workout. Changing tempo can do the deal too, if more weights isn’t what is available! 2. Go outside your comfort zone. This is so important. You will not change if you haven’t changed already from what you are already doing. 3. Recover like a queen..or a king. Make sure you eat, sleep and rehab your body properly. Give it what it needs to become better. 4. Add in accessory exercises and mobility work to allow your body to be prepared for heavier load. 5. Follow a program. It does wonder!
