I was told mastic was fine for tile on stairs over concrete. all the tiles cracked and mastic had mold growing on it.

Fortunately, since we don’t know s*** about tiling, we went to a Pro when we JUST finished all our wall and floor tiles in the new wet bathroom.

I thought the point of tile and grout was to prevent the water from getting behind. Obviously the tile wasn’t installed properly 🤷♂️

There is type 1 and type 2 mastic. Type 1 is used in showers! Home Depot harry needs to do research before giving advice!
