Oh, mine was just as bad. We got married outside of the temple and had to wait a year to get married in the temple and I didn’t even want to do that.

can relate. my mom married a non-member and I was told my whole life that I wouldn't get to be with my family forever because my mom had done that and it always made me feel horrible, super "other"ed in the church
